The PRD-Trigger project (Precipitation triggered rock dynamics: the missing mesoscopic link) aims to develop a new set of experimental modeling tools to study the dynamics of precipitation-dissolution cycles of salts in porous media and of the propagation associated damage. This will open up new avenues for improving the durability of building stones and cultural heritage, as well as subsoil geoengineering.
